Duties/Responsibilities The Assistant Superintendent is responsible for the efficient operation of the facility and equipment management. In order to fulfill this responsibility, a wide range of managerial, administrative, and operation activities are required. Under the direction of the Superintendent, this position is responsible for the maintenance and operation of a complex recreational facility. Primary activities include direct supervision over the operational department heads, and indirect supervision over year-round and a large number of seasonal employees.

Four (4) years of experience in construction and maintenance activities at a major ski area and Three (3) years of experience in a supervisory position having direct responsibility for any combination of the following ski area activities: ski lift, snowmaking, and snow grooming operations, instructional and racing programs, skier safety programs, or promotional activities specific to a ski area or areas. Thirty (30) college semester credit hours may be substituted for one year of construction and maintenance experience up to a total of four years.
