Duties/Responsibilities | |
Minimum Qualifications Strictly adhered to based on Civil Service requirements | Minimum Qualifications for Provisional Appointment: 1. You must be a high school graduate or have a high school equivalency diploma. Diplomas issued through a home study course, and not by an appropriate educational authority are not acceptable. AND 2. You must have one year of experience as a dispatcher in an emergency services organization. Examples of Qualifying Experience: police, fire, and emergency medical dispatching (civilian or military experience is acceptable). Examples of Non-Qualifying Experience: using paging systems, cellular phones, intercoms, or CB radios. Experience limited to that of an emergency medical technician (EMT) is not qualifying.
