Duties/Responsibilities 1. Serve as project manager on primarily energy related projects/facilities which require integrated environmental policy, regulations and legislation, including but not limited to Article VII (intrastate electric and natural gas transmission lines) and Article 10 (energy generating facilities > 25 MW) of the PSL, the federal National Gas Act (interstate natural gas and electric transmission lines) and Federal Power Act (hydro relicensing).
2. Coordinate with Department technical staff on environmental and permitting issues.
3. Coordinate with the Office of General Counsel in preparation for hearings.
4. Assist in developing environmental policy in relation to the review and approval of energy projects.
5. Interface with federal, state and local agencies as well as NGOs and the public on environmental issues.
6. Conduct inter-disciplinary environmental and regulatory reviews.

Reinstatement Eligible - Previously held the title on a permanent competitive basis or held a title as indicated under the transfer eligible section on a permanent competitive basis.

Transfer Eligible - One year of permanent competitive service at Salary Grade 21 or higher and:
Eligible for transfer under Section 70.1: Permanent competitive service as an Environmental Program Specialist 2, Environmental Specialist 2, Assoc Environmental Analyst Agriculture, Parks Program Manager 1.

Additional Comments Must have valid driver's license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain. Travel ,overtime and overnight travel may be required.
