Duties/Responsibilities Functions as Deputy Permit Admin. Signs env permits for Commissioner, supervises and trains staff, serves as project manager, conducts environmental impact assessments, conducts inter-disciplinary environmental and regulatory reviews, interfaces with government agencies and the public on environmental review and permitting procedures, and performs field visits of project sites, to complete analysis of environmental impacts and conformance to regulatory standards. Conducts meetings and public speaking's. May be required to respond after hours during emergency situations such as flooding or natural disasters or for permit hearings.

Additional Comments

Must have a valid driver's license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain, work in remote areas and work in adverse weather conditions. Travel, overtime, and overnight travel may be required. Must be available to respond to after- hour's emergencies. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 35 pounds. Some Permit applications are very large and consist of several banker boxes. Must e able to lift boxes to and from filing areas.
