|Duties/Responsibilities||Supervise lower-level Fish Culturists; serve as manager at a large facility; plan and direct the annual work program for the hatchery; plan and supervise maintenance schedules for the facility and grounds; compile and prepare hatchery budget requests; plan and schedule programs and costs for upcoming fiscal year; organize and evaluate health and safety program; plan and oversees implementation of the hatchery fish cultural program; coordinate fish health management plan; handle administrative matters including the recruitment selection and evaluation of employees; prepare statistical and narrative reports; and attends professional agency meetings.|

|Additional Comments||Must have a valid driver's license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Use of personal protection equipment, including a respirator, will be required. Must be work in remote areas and work in adverse weather conditions. Travel, overtime, and overnight travel may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required. Must be available for emergency response and available to respond to after- hours emergencies. Will be subject to the Federal Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act (OTETA) of 1991, which requires employee testing for drug and alcohol abuse. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Must reside in State Housing.
