The primary responsibilities of the Office Assistant 2 (Keyboarding) with the Bureau of Mobile Sources and Technology Development will be to:

1. Type documents, correspondence and reports for technical staff applying prescribed formats and proofreading for spelling, punctuation and grammar to produce clean, accurate, final copies for distribution.
2. Maintain bureau mail log and tickle file for tracking correspondence and reminding staff of impending due dates, ensuring tasks are completed within prescribed deadlines and in compliance with Department policies and procedures.
3. Purchase and maintain office supplies. Prepare Attachment As and Purchase Requisitions for routing and approval; process invoices and associated documents for payment; maintain purchasing log and respective files.
4. Field, direct and/or respond to calls regarding the Division's programs. Coordinate with program support staff to ensure office and phones are covered at all times; provide same assistance to other offices as needed.
5. Make travel and hotel reservations for technical staff adhering to current agency policies and procedures. Prepare expense accounts for staff ensuring timely completion and submission of required receipts and supporting documentation.
6. Schedule meetings and conference calls for technical staff including reserving rooms, conference lines, and A/V equipment as needed.
7. Respond to FOIL requests.

Reassignment - Currently in the title and an employee of DEC

Reinstatement Eligible - Previously held the title on a permanent competitive basis or held a title as indicated under the transfer eligible section on a permanent competitive basis.

Transfer Eligible - One year of permanent competitive service at Salary Grade 7 or higher and:
Eligible for transfer under Section 70.1: Permanent competitive service as a Office Assistant 1 (Keyboarding), Office Assistant 2 (Calculations), Office Assistant 2, Secretary 1, Office Assistant 2 (Stores/Mail). Candidates may be required to demonstrate that they meet the minimum keyboarding proficiency test. Also any language parenthetic for the above titles. Additional titles which qualify can be found on the Department of Civil Service website, search "GOT-IT".
