|Duties/Responsibilities||Responsible for supervising field staff and handling the documentation, ordering, inventorying of supplies and materials. Supervise NYW3 and NYW4 projects. Lead the Greene County interior crew, as well as support other programs within the Region. Responsible for coordinating and supervising volunteer groups on DEC properties/projects. The majority of the time will be spent maintaining trails, bridges and other infrastructure within remote locations of the Catskill Forest Preserve.|

|One year of practical experience in performing general construction or maintenance tasks. Must have and maintain a valid driver's license.
Preferred Qualifications: chainsaw certified Game of Logging Level 1; technical ropes training for working on maintenance of fire towers and observation platforms; First Aid, CPR and BBP certification
In accordance with union contract, this position is anticipated to be filled by an eligible DEC - CSEA Operational Services Unit 03 employee who meets the minimum qualifications.
|Additional Comments||Must have a valid driver's license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain, work in remote areas and work in adverse weather conditions. Travel and overtime may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required. Must be available for emergency response and available to respond to after- hour's emergencies.
