|Duties/Responsibilities||Maintenance and rehabilitation work on infrastructure including buildings, recreation facilities, bridges, dams, access roads and wildlife management areas. Working knowledge of safety standards and procedures. Ability to perform moderate to heavy manual labor and lift up to 50 lbs. Ability to climb ladders and work on heights on scaffolds and platforms. Must possess a Class "B" license or get a Class "B" license within six months from appointment.

In accordance with union contract, this position is anticipated to be filled by an eligible DEC - CSEA Operational Services Unit 03 employee who meets the minimum qualifications. Two years of experience in maintenance or mechanical work under the supervision of a skilled trades worker or completion of an appropriate two-year technical school course.
|Additional Comments||Must have a valid driver's license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Use of personal protection equipment, including a respirator, will be required. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain, work in remote areas and work in adverse weather conditions. Must obtain a Class B CDL with air brake endorsement within 6 months of the appointment. Will be subject to the Federal Omnibus Transportation Employee Testing Act (OTETA) of 1991, which requires employee testing for drug and alcohol abuse. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds.
