|Duties/Responsibilities||Serves as Program Manager responsible for regional office with a large pesticide program staff. Direct and manage all facets of program; ensure that staff evaluations, required safety training and medical monitoring are current. Oversees provision of information to assist Department legal staff, Environmental Conservation Officers, prosecutors and Environmental Protection Agency staff to support alleged violations of State or federal pesticide laws, rules and regulations. Provide expert testimony in civil and criminal actions; represent the Department in emergency response activities associated with the outbreak of insect-borne diseases or disasters; develop and administer programs regarding bio-terrorism; recommend revisions to regulations and applicator examinations. Must hold Pesticide Applicators Certification.

|Additional Comments||Must have a valid driver's license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Use of personal protection equipment, including a respirator, will be required. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain and work in remote areas. Travel, overtime, and overnight travel may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required.
Must be available for emergency response. Must successfully complete (or have completed) the 40 hour OSHA 1910.120 training course and all other required training. Must complete an annual Health and Safety Program including medical monitoring, fit testing, and 40 (or 8) hour OSHA HAZWOPER certification. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 40 pounds.
