|Duties/Responsibilities||Must supervise and administer leadership at facilities located in the Northville working circle serving both public and employees including 7 campgrounds, 3 sign shops and 1 non-regionalized facility (Hale Creek Field Station), miles of trails, fish and wildlife management areas, boat launches, fire towers, observer cabins and DEC-owned dams. Responsibilities include budgeting, operating, maintaining and rehabilitating facilities to ensure in compliance with health & safety codes. Administer all construction and maintenance field staff and equipment mechanics in Northville working circle. Manages annual operating budget and capital funds.|

Reinstatement Eligible - Previously held the title on a permanent competitive basis or held a title as indicated under the transfer eligible section on a permanent competitive basis.
Transfer Eligible - One year of permanent competitive service at Salary Grade 19 or higher and:
Eligible for transfer under Section 70.4: Must meet the open competitive minimum qualifications below
Open competitive minimum qualifications (provided for 70.4 transfer eligibles): four years of experience in building maintenance, mechanical maintenance, or construction; two years of which must have been in the management ** of the program; OR 2. three years of experience in building maintenance, mechanical maintenance, or construction; two years of which must have been in management ** of the program, AND sixty semester credit hours, including 18 semester credit hours in science or applied science in civil, electrical, mechanical, forest, or construction technology.***
Definitions for the purpose of meeting these qualifications:
* Administration - responsibility for estimating, supervising, and planning and assigning work.
** Management - responsibility for budgeting, supervising, planning and assigning work, and evaluating employees.
*** You must submit a list of qualifying courses with your application. Include the number of semester credit hours for each course. Applications submitted without a list of relevant courses will not be considered.

|Additional Comments||Must have valid driver's license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain and work in adverse weather conditions. Travel, overtime, and overnight travel may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required. Must be available for emergency response. Must be available to respond to after- hour's emergencies.|
