New York State Conservation Council
The New York State Conservation Council (Council) is the oldest volunteer conservation organization in the state. Established in 1933, the Council aids in the formulation and establishment of sound policies and practices designated to conserve, protect, restore and perpetuate forests, wildlife and scenic and recreational areas. Through the coordination and stimulation of individuals and organizations interested in conservation, the Council actively works to assure the enforcement of conservation laws and educational endeavors that safeguard our resources for generations to come.
